Doralba is a journalist and a photographer who has fully engaged with a long term project highlighting the development of skin illustration.

As you might expect there are lots of highly coloured photos in the book, which helps a lot. Many of the books I've read about tatooing do not contain coloured photos, which seems strange when we're dealing with a visual art.

The book provides information on Japanese tattoos and more general aspects (horror tattoos, black and white, nature tattoos).

She has included a lot of text too, so it's pretty good.
